Founder and Creative Director
Abhisek brings 12+ years of experience in design and managing entrepreneurial ventures. Over this period, he has led branding and web design projects, launched and grown a niche brand of handmade soaps, designed low-cost furniture, shot portraits for a football team, advised founders and CEOs and built a presentation design studio that counts Facebook, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Unilever, L'oreal and Cisco as clients.
He spends 80% of his time answering emails (if you don't hear back from us, you know who to blame!). In the other 20% he looks after Villa P (our studio), directs branding and web projects and meddles in everyone's work. He compulsively draws out ideas to make a point, not sparing any scrap of paper lying around, even cheque books!
Business Head, Web + UX/UI Team
Aakash leads our Web and UI team. He combines an education in and inclination for engineering with a keen aesthetic sense to build delightful websites and user experiences. While his work is medium agnostic, he focuses on building Websites and App Interface. And he's built the interface for the operating system of a Smartwatch!
When he's not in front of the computer (about 47 mins every day) he loves skating and has morbid fantasies of decapitating famous musicians. In his spare time, he experiments with CSS.
He is also an avid guitarist and is often found talking about playing the guitar, but has never actually been seen playing one.
Indranil is a Mechanical Engineer, who has 4 years of diverse experiences, ranging from Big-data Analytics, Operations, Marketing and F&B.
Born in Mumbai, Indranil grew up in Oman, UAE and the US. His varied cultural exposure informs and influences his work deeply.
As Project Manager, Indranil takes charge of delivery - from the smallest deliverables to large scale campaigns and branding projects.
He enjoys cooking and is deeply interested in music and culture.
From graphs to graphics, from integers to illustration - Sanjana is a self-taught graphic designer and artist. She loves illustration and has a special obsession with portraits. Sanjana has almost three years of experience as a graphic designer.
She loves dogs, but Google Maps is her best friend. And she dances like nobody's watching - except the whole internet!
Architect, self-taught illustrator and aspiring graphic designer with a special interest in branding and publication design. Priyanka is a thalassophile, 90% introvert, 10% extrovert, 100% feminist and a closet singer. Born and raised in Mumbai, but obsessed with all things Spanish, she speaks the language quite fluently.
Priyanka detests small talk and crowds & unashamedly aspires to be a “crazy cat lady”. She’s a travel enthusiast, with backpacking around South America at the top of her bucket list. When not working, she experiments with casting concrete objects and is on an unending quest to find the perfect pair of spectacles.
Vidit is a self-taught designer with a special focus on branding, hand-lettering and animation. He loves using Typography in his work and is currently working on developing his illustration skills.
At the studio, no one has seem him without a smile on his face. This makes it difficult to believe that he is a card-holding citizen of the Dark Web.
He loves Salsa (the dance, not the sauce), Ice-cream and Anime.
Chris is a front-end developer turned UX Designer. In a previous life, he's built a refreshable braille display for the blind.
He loves minimal design and suffers from OCD. He can spend hours making sure everything is symmetrical and perfectly spaced.
From engineering drawings & designs to digital design - Jude found a career where the creative possibilities are only limited by one's own imagination.
He has probably been greeted with 'Hey Jude' more than the number of times the actual song has been played. At home, he's often found hitting the high notes of 'Bohemian Rhapsody' in the shower, binging on TV shows or experimenting with food (read 'everything chocolate').
He considers himself an introvert, a fan-fiction nerd, enjoys the mountains and often talks about cycling and trekking.
Illustrator, graphic designer and now a UI/UX designer, Antara has pretty much had a nomadic life since her teenage days. From Lucknow to Bangalore, Helsinki to Washington, Delhi to Mumbai - the shifts have been drastic but thrilling. Her travels have greatly influenced her art and design practice.
Antara has designed and developed a board game, written and illustrated a book, swam across a lake, bungee jumped from the world's highest tower, watched a horror movie alone and tried quite a few more things that excited and terrified her in equal measure.
Ishan is a UX designer with interests ranging from industrial design to service design. He loves tech and design and doesn't discriminate between the two - often found reading design blogs and staying up to date with the latest news from the world of tech.
When he isn't thinking 'design', he likes sketching, swimming, watching YouTube video essays and reading Stephen King novels. He prides in having the most appropriate meme for every situation. His ideal meal would be chocolate milkshake and pizza.
Jitesh keeps things together at the studio - from making sure we're well hydrated to maintaining the ambient temperature, from assisting on photo shoots to making print runs, from brewing coffee to making sure there is chilled beer.
He loves bikes, but loves pimping out his ride with vinyls more. And he is a closet designer who photoshops himself into surreal scenes - on his phone!
Bodoni gets half her daily nutrition from Jitesh's tiffin.
Prakash is responsible for keeping our beautiful studio spotless. With 10+ years of experience in Housekeeping, he does his job with finesse. But the role he derives most satisfaction from, is feeding Bodoni. He feeds her to the point of gluttony.
Prakash loves cricket, reading the news and is a pro carrom player.
Bodoni was born on the streets of Goa in 2011. For a while she enjoyed roughing it out with the other dogs. When she was 3 weeks old, she wandered into the Beard Design office and realized that she enjoyed the finer things in life. Even though the arguments over the perfect shade of turquoise didn't appeal much to her, she decided to stay.
She loves eggs, bean bags, lassi and the occasional chicken. Though, her real passion is chewing on shoes and stealing cupcakes.
Bodoni is named after the famous 16th century Italian typographer Giambattista Bodoni and does him honor by making sure his name is shouted loudly in our studio a dozen times everyday.
