Simba is one of the first, homegrown, family-run craft beer brand from India. We started working with the founder when Simba was just an idea. Over the months, we became a part of the Simba family, and Simba became a part of ours.
We worked on too many things, big and small, to recount everything. But here’s a short summary. We started with the brand positioning and strategy – understanding the market, trying every beer available (more than 30!), creating and articulating the brand ethos and then translating them to everything – from brand visual language, the fiery Simba character, the illustration style, packaging design, marketing, events and so on.
But the most exciting part of the project, was being involved in the actual crafting of the beers – trying all the iterations, making sure we ended up with the best craft beers in the market. And we did!
Simba currently has a Belgian Wheat (Simba Jungle Wheat) and a Stout (Simba Jungle Stout). We’re working closely with them to bring more authentic craft beers to the market.
A great endorsement for our work on Simba came when beer aficionados started referring to Simba as the #MonkeyKiller.
