Ori is an innovative edge-computing platform based out of London, UK with customers around the world. They’ve built a strong community of developers called the “Edgehogs”.
We’ve worked with Ori over a long period of time to build the brand, their website and their digital products. While the Ori brand was built for a large technology platform, the “Edgehog” character needed to be relatable and playful – something that would appeal to developers using the Ori platform and technology.
“Edgehog” is a clever play on Edge Computing + Hedgehog. We took this as a starting point but then anthropomorphised the hedgehog, bringing in elements of robotics. This resulted in a character that was distinct, memorable and endlessly extendible, not just with costumes, but also attachments to the body.
