Origin

Origin is a Software Development Kit (SDK) for Augmented Reality (AR). It helps software / app developers to use the full potential of AR in their apps, without having to build the experience from scratch. Origin offers all the foundational elements of AR in an easy to use framework. It is perhaps the most advanced SDK of its kind.

We worked with the team at Whodat (the parent company and another brand we’ve built) to come up with the brand name and create the identity and visual language of the brand.

We chose to create a bold typemark for Origin, which is instantly recognizable with the custom typography and the line which translates beautifully into the visual language. The placement of the line at the end of the typemark, positions the name as the starting point (origin). And the abstract nature of the line, leaves it open to interpretation and extension, just like an SDK, which provides a starting point for developers to build whatever they can imagine.
